Audit Records

Audit Records is a read-only log of important actions taken in your organization’s HiveCare account — who did what, and when.

Who can see it

Audit Records is only visible to administrators. It exists to support your organization’s compliance obligations, including HIPAA, so it isn’t editable or deletable by anyone, including admins.

What gets logged

Examples of actions recorded in the audit log:

  • Logins, logouts, and failed login attempts
  • Team changes — invitations, role changes, deactivations, removals
  • Security events — password changes, new device verifications
  • Account-level events — account deletion requests and completions
  • Legal acceptances (Terms, Privacy Policy)

Why it can’t be edited or deleted

The audit log is cryptographically chained so that any tampering would be detectable — this is what makes it trustworthy as a compliance record. Entries reference people by an internal ID, so even if someone’s personal account is later deleted, the historical record of what happened stays intact without exposing their personal details.

Using Audit Records

  1. Go to Audit Records.
  2. Filter by date range, team member, or action type.
  3. Export the results if you need them for a compliance review.

Retention

Audit records are retained for the period required by applicable regulations, independent of whether the person involved still has an active account.
