Enable Push Notifications

Push notifications let HiveCare alert you about new messages and important account activity even when the app is closed.

Turning them on

iOS

  1. When you first log in, iOS asks if HiveCare can send notifications — tap Allow.
  2. If you previously denied it, go to your device’s Settings → HiveCare → Notifications and turn Allow Notifications on.

Android

  1. When you first log in, Android asks if HiveCare can send notifications — tap Allow.
  2. If you previously denied it, go to your device’s Settings → Apps → HiveCare → Notifications and enable notifications.

Fine-tuning inside HiveCare

Once notifications are allowed at the device level, go to Settings → Notifications inside the app to choose exactly which types you want to receive as push (messages, team updates, etc.) — see Notifications Center.

Not receiving push notifications?

Check, in order:

  1. Notifications are allowed for HiveCare at the device/OS level.
  2. Battery optimization or “focus/do not disturb” modes aren’t silencing the app.
  3. You’re logged in and the app has a working internet connection at least occasionally (push tokens refresh when the app runs).
  4. Your in-app notification preferences for that alert type are turned on.

Still nothing? See Why am I not receiving notifications?.
