How can we help?
Why am I not receiving notifications?
Work through this checklist:
1. Device-level permissions (mobile)
Notifications must be allowed at the operating system level, not just inside HiveCare. Check Settings → HiveCare → Notifications on iOS, or Settings → Apps → HiveCare → Notifications on Android.
2. In-app notification preferences
Go to Settings → Notifications inside HiveCare and confirm the specific type you expect (messages, team updates, etc.) is turned on.
3. Do Not Disturb / Focus modes
Phone-level focus modes or “do not disturb” schedules can silence notifications from all apps, HiveCare included, without you seeing an error anywhere.
4. Battery optimization (Android especially)
Aggressive battery-saving settings can stop apps from receiving push notifications in the background. Check if HiveCare is excluded from battery optimization on your device.
5. Conversation muted
If it’s specifically messages from one conversation you’re missing, check you haven’t muted that conversation — see Messaging on Mobile.
6. Logged out or session expired
You only receive push notifications while logged in on that device. If you’ve been logged out, log back in.
Email notifications
Some alerts (security events, account changes) only ever go by email and never appear as in-app or push notifications by design — check your inbox and spam folder for those.
Still nothing?
Contact support and mention which notification type is missing and on which device (web, iOS, Android).
